Hats off to the HR Master!

Graduating from Ulster University Business School, Michelle Weir from Armagh has received an award from the Labour Relations Agency (LRA) for the highest dissertation mark achieved in the MSc Human Resource Management master’s degree. The annual award is presented by the LRA and comes with a £200 prize. Michelle’s dissertation titled ‘An Investigation into the impact of Succession Planning: Insights from a generational leadership perspective’ gained top marks in the academic year 2020-2021 and explored the impact of succession planning during and after generational transition in family businesses.

The LRA provides free, confidential, and impartial guidance to employers and employees in Northern Ireland regarding employment law, best practice and achieving positive employment relations. It assists organisations with the development and implementation of employment policies and procedures and helps to resolve workplace disputes.
