Asda has published its second annual ESG Report, driven by our Create Change For Better strategy.

Highlights include:

• 35% reduction in direct carbon emissions since 2015;
• 20% annual increase in the surplus food distributed to FareShare;
• All tea/coffee/bananas Fair Trade or Rainforest Alliance certified;
• 85% of own brand packaging is now recyclable;
• 9,750 tonnes of packaging removed 2019-2020;
• £3.6mn annual donations across the UK to good causes by the Asda Foundation;
• The grand total for Tickled Pink (breast cancer) fundraising over the past 25 years now stands at £77 million!

Asda will be conducting a materiality report in the months ahead with external stakeholders to make sure they continue to focus on the right priorities.
