Woodside Logistics Group host Charity Quiz in aid of Air Ambulance NI.

On Friday (3^rd March) evening Woodside Logistics Group held their first Woodside’s Charity Pub Quiz in aid of Air Ambulance Northern Ireland at Ballyclare Rugby Club. It was a fantastic evening with over £1,300 raised for the charity.

Stef Foster Marketing & Communications Manager, Woodside Logistics Group said:

“We are delighted to continue our long serving partnership with Air Ambulance NI for 2023 and we looking forward to getting back out, doing face to face events and raising funds for this great charity. We were thrilled with the turnout for the quiz, but our fundraising efforts aren’t finishing there. We have over 20 staff already entered into the Belfast Marathon, and we are still encouraging more to sign up.”

“Having worked with Air Ambulance NI for over 5 years, we understand the extreme importance this service has on the quick and assessable response to an incident with Northern Ireland.”

“We would like to thank Ballyclare Rugby Club for their support of the event, as well as providing the quiz questions/quizmaster, all our sponsors who donated some really great prizes into our raffle, and to all of our employees, friends & family who purchase ballots and tickets to the quiz. All these funds have helped us raise a fantastic sum for Air Ambulance.”

As a service we rely heavily on charitable donations to keep the medical team in the air, delivering critical care to patients who have suffered trauma throughout Northern Ireland – without this type of support, the team simply couldn’t fly.”

Our Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) is as busy as ever, responding to on average 2 calls daily somewhere in Northern Ireland. Since we first launched in July 2017, Air Ambulance NI have been tasked to over 3,351 calls to date.”

“The charity Air Ambulance NI, in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, provides the HEMS for Northern Ireland. The HEMS team attend patients who are seriously ill or injured, bringing emergency pre-hospital care direct to the casualty with the aim of saving lives, brains and limbs. With a daily operational cost of £5,500, we are so grateful for this vital support.”
