Ulster University Business School has released the latest episode of its Business of Possibility podcast, a podcast series exploring key themes and the latest research with guests from the business world and academia.

In the third episode of series two, ‘So She Did – Championing Female Entrepreneurs’, podcast host Wendy Austin introduces listeners to the powerful work being done to empower the next generation of female entrepreneurs across Northern Ireland.

Whilst positive strides have been made in new business creation in Northern Ireland in recent years, studies show that entrepreneurial activity is typically lower for females than males, with men three times more likely to start their own business than women.

The episode features Chris Shannon, Student Enterprise & Entrepreneurship Manager of UUSU Enterprise Centre, Leona Donaghy, Founder of Wholehearted Environments and Gabi Burnside, Entrepreneur Acceleration Manager of Ulster Bank. We also hear of the inspiring start-up journey from one successful female business owner.
