On Monday 17th January a ‘Taster Day’ was held in our Graduate Restaurant ahead of The NI Chef Bootcamp which will begin on Monday 24th January until Friday 18th February.
The NI Chef Bootcamp is a fully funded 4-week programme which provides individuals with a unique opportunity to gain industry relevant qualifications, practical food preparation skills and a step towards a career as a chef. The programme will include masterclasses from local chefs and opportunities to get first-hand insight into how a commercial kitchen operates.
The ‘Taster Day’ allowed individuals to come along and meet the staff delivering the course as well as the local businesses who will provide the practical placement throughout the 4 weeks.
This event enabled individuals to network, fully understand what the programme entails and ask any burning questions they had.
The College would like to extend their thanks to everyone involved in particular to all the Businesses for their engagement and permitting these placement opportunities to take place: Canal Court, Whistledown, Killeavy Castle, Seagoe Hotel, Norbrook and Kilmorey Care.
