Phoenix Natural Gas has been fuelling some Spooktacular community events through its Building Back Together Fund which was launched to help reduce social isolation and help communities get back together safely as covid restrictions ease.
Over the last few week, the Phoenix Natural Gas Building Back Together Fund has supported:
- A series of Halloween themed spooky schools trails across Downpatrick.
- A Friendship event for families from the local Jam N Iré project.
- A special Halloween community event for families at Marian Park.
Having made connection to the natural gas network possible for thousands of homes and businesses across East Down in recent years, Phoenix Natural Gas continues to develop connections across the community, as Jonathan Martindale, Director of Business Development at Phoenix Natural Gas explains:
“As a business with a strong corporate responsibility culture, we wanted to respond to the social and economic impacts of the last year by offering proactive support to enable grassroots community groups to do what they do best and bring communities back together again.
“In extending our network across East Down we have been warmly welcomed by the local community and we are delighted that so many grassroots community groups cross East Down have benefitted from our Building Back Together Funding and helped families, young people and communities reconnect in a safe and inclusive way.”
Phoenix Natural Gas has been supporting communities across East Down throughout its network extension programme which has seen the company extend access to the natural gas network to 28,000 consumers in the area.
