Best of luck to our 12 recruits who have begun the latest seven-week pre-employment Welding Academy this morning in SRC.
Students will receive industry-standard welding training that will provide them with the skills to take up potential welding roles with companies in #Craigavon, #Armagh, #Newry & #Lisburn.
The candidates will spend 5 weeks in college working towards the City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in MIG Welding integrating the use of soldering simulators in conjunction with Weld & Go. They will then spend 2 weeks in industry with one of the participating companies below.
Following completion of the training, participants will be guaranteed an interview to take up a welding position at one of the following companies:
Hyster-Yale UK Ltd – Craigavon
BM Steel – Newry
McElmeel Mobility Services Limited – Armagh
The Exact Group – Newry
Warmflow – Lisburn
SFM Engineering – Keady
