South Eastern Regional College (SERC) recently hosted a delegation from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Toyama, Japan for a week-long visit to the College.

The five visitors were here to learn about the work of the Enterprise and Entrepreneurship team, and particularly their work around business start-ups.

The visit follows successful exchanges of staff and students during the past year, funded by the Daiwa Foundation and The Great British Sasakawa Foundation.

Ken Webb, Principal and Chief Executive, SERC said, “SERC has a long- standing relationship with the Institute of Technology in Toyama, Japan.  We are delighted to welcome this delegation led by Professor Naoke Sase, Vice President, to share our expertise of enterprise and entrepreneurship which is embedded into the curriculum here at SERC.

He added, “The visit gave us the opportunity to build on our relationship with planning for Summer internships for their students and placement-study visits for SERC students to Toyama in 2025.”
