NI Water’s Apprentice recruits are kickstarting their careers with an intensive bootcamp at the company’s Learning and Development Centre in Antrim. Thirty one apprentices, higher level apprentices and graduates will all go through a six-week course before they join their teams across Northern Ireland in November.
Brian McCalmont, Head of Water, started as a graduate for NI Water. He said: “I am always delighted to meet the new recruits to NI Water and share some of my experiences of joining as a graduate and my journey to becoming Head of Water. The core of our business is our people, without whom we simply could not function as a 24/7 essential service, delivering what matters for the community. The bootcamp is an opportunity to show how our values, diversity and inclusion, customer service and health and safety training are all engrained into every area of the company the recruits will work in. Kitted out in their new work uniform and armed with the skills and knowledge to start their new roles, and we wish them a long and happy career here at NI Water.”
