CyberNI Week 2024

NICSC

26th Feb 2024

The Northern Ireland Cyber Security Centre (NICSC) is the local amplification body for the National Cyber Security Centre and works to assist local society and the business community to better protect their technology, systems and data from cyber attacks.

The Cyber Security Breaches Survey 2023 report that 1 in 3 small business experienced a cyber breach in the past 12 months.  A cyber-attack can be devastating for a business, with loss of data and finances, disruption to services and damage to reputation. Cyber criminals study human behaviours and look for gaps in business’ IT security to gain access to sensitive data – such as customer email addresses, contact details or bank details. They will use this information to try and exploit you and your employees, through ‘phishing’ emails and fake ‘smishing’ text messages.

The NICSC provides FREE cyber security training and best practice messaging to support small /medium businesses to be more cyber safe, secure and resilient. Please contact the NICSC on info@nicybersecuirtycentre.gov.uk to find out more details on how we can help your business.
