South Eastern Regional College (SERC) are calling for managers working at strategic level, to turn their experience into coveted Chartered Manager status.
Jenny McConnell, Deputy Head of School of Hospitality, Management and Tourism at SERC said, “Chartered Manager is the highest status that can be achieved in the management profession. It is awarded by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and aimed at those working at senior management level with 5 years management experience. SERC is the only college or university who are a Chartered Manager Assessor Centre in Northern Ireland.
She added, “Chartered Manager Status is not a qualification but a professional recognition award. It demonstrates how managers have lead people through change and given Brexit and COVID, there are many managers who have gained unprecedented experience of change management from working in small independent businesses to large multi-national organisations.
Jenny concluded, “Eligible candidates complete an assessment which is undertaken by a written submission and professional discussion. Upon successful completion they will be awarded Chartered Manager (CMgr MCMI) or Chartered Fellow (FCMI) status dependent on experience.”
