As the Irish staycation market continues to grow Lough Erne Resort has launched a novel initiative to attract the best staff within the hospitality industry.
The resort has a wide variety of job roles available, all of which allow for flexible working practices, a range of benefits and some of the top wage rates within the hospitality industry.
As part of its new recruitment drive, Lough Erne Resort is encouraging the public to help identify appropriate full-time or part-time team members with the promise of a range of rewards from luxury stays to complimentary dining should those candidates be employed.
Lough Erne Resort’s Joanne Walsh says: “The power of referral has never been more rewarding. We are seeking candidates with genuine ambition who are passionate about hospitality and playing their part in delivering memorable luxury experiences for our valued local guests and those who visit us from throughout Ireland, UK and internationally.
“In order to attract the very best talent available we have introduced a range of attractive benefits that include flexible working hours, access to the resort’s relaxing infinity pool and gym, catered meals on site, a range of industry leading training programmes, preferred friends and family accommodation rates and a host of staff discounts across the resort.
“We have also reviewed our wage rates to ensure we attract the right calibre of candidate. Amongst the roles we have available currently are Bar & Restaurant Assistant Managers with On Target Earnings of £14.50 per hour or £30,000 (full time) per year; Bar and Restaurant Team members with On Target Earnings of £11.00 to £13.50 per hour and House Keeping team members who can earn up to £11 per hour.
“All of these rates are significantly more than both the current national minimum wage and the national living wage, and we believe they are amongst the highest in our sector.
“We acknowledge that working in hospitality is characterised by a perception of long hours and low wages, but we want to change that and encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to consider hospitality as a career, where those with a strong work ethic and sense of ambition can see significant progression and promotion.
So, we’re hoping our neighbours throughout the Fermanagh, Cavan, Monaghan, Leitrim and Tyrone regions can help us identify the right talent and in doing so enjoy a thank you from us.”
Lough Erne Resort’s Recruitment Open Evening takes place on Thursday 2nd December from 4pm-9pm where registered candidates will be able to learn more about the opportunities available and speak with Department Heads face to face.
Each applicant will be given the chance to name the person that encouraged them to apply. If successfully employed the person named will be rewarded with dinner for two for part-time employment or a luxury overnight midweek stay for two guests for full-time employment.
