Belfast-Based Security Service Launches Innovative, Subscription-Based Safeguarding for City Centre Businesses
At a time when mental health issues, homelessness and anti-social behaviour are much more visible on our streets – as well as in crime statistics – Legacy Link, a pioneering private security company using technology developed by Belfast-based, global tech company HALO this week launches an affordable subscription service across the city centre with the aim of keeping anti-social behaviour at bay, while also protecting potentially vulnerable staff and customers.

Recent UK research shows that a visible security presence can mitigate anti-social behaviour and lead to a 20% reduction in reported incidents. The studies also show that a security presence can help to reduce stress and anxiety as well as increasing the mental and physical wellbeing of staff members, which in turn allows them to feel reassured and focus on the customer experience.

We can help manage anything from an awkward or aggressive customer to more serious emergencies of burglary or assault. Our teams will, by default, liaise with the PSNI and other emergency services as well as Council authorities on the business’s behalf, compiling evidence-based incident reports where necessary, to keep the business compliant and freeing staff to focus on looking after customers.”
