Economic Outlook and ESG in focus at Bank of Ireland Business Breakfast Event ~2024-04-18~

Bank of Ireland hosted more than 70 leading business customers and stakeholders from its client and advisory network for a Business Outlook event at the Europa Hotel today. 

Featuring a curated panel of speakers, the event addressed a number of topics of importance for businesses, including insights into current geopolitical challenges and economic impacts, sustainability risks and opportunities in the transition to net zero, and how business and directors can plan and invest for their future.

Paul Magee, Director Corporate Banking NI at Bank of Ireland explains: “We partner with some of the largest and most successful local and international companies, and as a leading financial services partner with an international footprint, we are well placed to help inform and support customers to navigate wider geopolitical challenges and seek new opportunities to grow and scale their businesses sustainably.

Colette Shirley, Director of Sustainability, Corporates & Markets, Bank of Ireland encouraged attendees to ensure sustainability is firmly on their business agenda: “At Bank of Ireland our focus is firmly on helping customers understand ESG responsibilities and opportunities, as we provide practical and useful solutions to allow them to consider long-term sustainability strategies to help address the challenge of transitioning to a more resilient, net zero economy.”
