Civica, the UK’s leading public sector software provider, continues to demonstrate its strategic focus on software growth, through a move to simplify its business by divesting its remaining Licencing and Cloud and Software Lifecycle (LCSL) activity in the UK.
Civica had previously provided third party licencing and CSL services to a range of public bodies, including local authorities, universities, and housing associations. These services are now being taken over by SCC, the technology division of one of Europe’s largest IT groups. SCC has acquired Civica’s LCSL team, its existing customers and partner relationships.
Civica Chief Executive, Wayne Story said:
“With over 22 years of unbroken growth, fuelled by year-on-year investment, we’ve established ourselves as a leading provider of trusted, innovative software for public sector organisations in the UK and around the world. As the pace of public sector digitalisation continues to accelerate, our continued investment in innovative software will ensure we capitalise on these exciting opportunities for growth.
Our market leading software offering for public sector organisations will support them on their journeys of transformation and ensuring they can deliver more for the people and communities they serve”.
