‘Environmental challenges – rethinking low-carbon bioenergy solutions’

  • Does your business involve the food-energy-water nexus?
  • Would you like to hear about low-carbon bioenergy solutions that can complement existing agricultural practice?
  • Are you interested in using circular economy thinking to recycle nutrients and improve water quality?
  • Did you know that planting willow buffer strips along water courses on 5% of dairy land in N Ireland could provide enough bioenergy to meet 8% of the region’s heat demand?
  • How can the agricultural sector better manage slurries and digestates as part of a circular economy?

If any of the above are relevant to you, come join us for our Access the Expert event on ‘Environmental challenges – rethinking low-carbon bioenergy solutions’.

This seminar will provide an opportunity to hear from our experts at Queen’s University Belfast and discuss specific areas of interest for you and your company, in a small group setting.

This event will take place on Thursday 25 April from 10am until 11am and will include a Q&A session after the presentation.

Please note that this will be a small roundtable, informal event. Spaces will be limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Please RSVP to portia.ellis-woods@qub.ac.uk  indicating any special dietary requirements.
