SOCIAL VALUE – LET’s COLLABORATE

For several years Social Enterprise NI has been lobbying the NI Assembly to establish social value legislation in NI. We have looked enviously at the advances made in Scotland, England and Wales in the last 10 years and are delighted that Chris White, former MP and a leading light in bringing forward the Public Services (Social Value) Act 2012 in England and Wales is in Belfast on Wednesday 1 March 2023 and will be taking part in a seminar to discuss the impact of the Act to date.

Additionally, the morning will allow us to hear of progress in NI, discuss the issuance of Public Procurement Notes, scoring of social value, as well as hearing from case studies where private sector organisations have embraced social value as an integral part of their work.

This year has seen an increase in the number of organisations who are learning how to embrace social value in their supply chains, and their desire to be involved with social enterprises as a means of delivering on their social value commitments. Social Enterprise NI is therefore delighted to be organising this Networking event to bring together private, public and social enterprise businesses.
