NI Chamber and its International Champions, Eversheds Sutherland and Queen’s University, invite businesses currently involved in bidding for public sector contracts in ROI and Europe, or any business who wants to understand how to access this potential market, to a breakfast event on Wednesday 1 March.
Public sector procurement offers substantial opportunity for NI companies to supply goods and services across a range of industries. However, companies have historically found this sector difficult to navigate citing the complexity, time commitment and cost of the procurement process as key barriers to entry. At this event, expert speakers will share practical advice on how to successfully navigate the public procurement process.
Key areas of focus will include:
- How and where to find out about public sector opportunities
- How to prepare your business to optimise the likelihood of success
- How market access differs for NI companies post-Brexit
- The importance of ESG for public procurement and what this is likely to look like in the future
- Pitfalls to avoid
Dr Laura Steele, Senior Lecturer in Business and Society & Director of Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability at Queen’s Management School, delivers lectures on Public Sector Management which addresses current trends and future directions in public procurement.
