NI Chamber and its International Champions, Queen’s University and Eversheds Sutherland invite companies who trade with Europe to join a breakfast event with a special focus on Tuesday 25 October.
Expert speakers will discuss pertinent issues relevant to both importers and exporters including:
Whether you are employing EU citizens, seeking to second your staff to the EU or considering remote working with EU based staff, the experts will outline how to navigate requirements including sponsor licenses, visas and establishing a formal EU presence.
- Conformance Standards
Panellists will discuss the implications of EU Marketing Standards on products. They will share strategies to deal with divergence and look at the appropriate application of CE and UKCA markings on goods.
Experts will outline how businesses should evaluate and apply the two separate data regimes; UKGDPR and EUGDPR. Businesses with activities in both the UK and EU or who are targeting customers/ suppliers in both territories should consider the transfer of personal data, appropriate privacy notices and ensure contracts reference the correct regime.
This event is for anyone whose supply chain, customer base and staff are based in Europe.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn and ask questions of Queen’s University and Eversheds Sutherland. There will also be an opportunity to connect and network with other NI companies facing similar challenges.
