NI Chamber and SONI invite you to the next Energy Forum on Tuesday 5 September from 3.00-5.00pm at BT Group Riverside Tower, Belfast.

As Northern Ireland embarks on a path towards sustainability and it’s 2030 green energy targets, consumers will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of this transition. This event aims to highlight the significance of consumer engagement and their impact on driving the adoption of renewable energy solutions and what societal changes are required.

Peter McClenaghan, Director of Infrastructure and Sustainability at the Consumer Council NI will share insights into Northern Ireland consumers and their understanding of net zero goals. He will discuss what changes are required in attitudes and behaviours to meet these targets.

During a panel discussion, experts will share their expertise, experiences and strategies on how businesses and consumers can collaborate to facilitate a seamless transition to green energy and will discuss the current policy landscape and the role of government initiatives in supporting consumers during the green energy transition.

Panelists include:

  • Derek Scully, Head of Corporate Affairs, Energia
  • Sarah Allan, Director of Capacity Building and Standards, Involve
  • Ian Marshall, Business Development Manager, Queen’s University Belfast Centre for Advanced Sustainable Energy

Who is this event for?
The Energy Forum provides a bridge between energy providers and large energy users in Northern Ireland. This event will be of relevance to anyone working in energy intensive companies, as well as those with responsibility for energy or sustainability management in firms of all sizes.
