As inflation, labour costs and the rising cost of doing business continue to impact business growth and confidence, it is imperative for businesses to understand how they can best position themselves to manage cost related challenges. This workshop will deliver practical advice surrounding cost control considerations for SMEs in relation to commercial contracts, employment law and contractual disputes.

This workshop will cover:

  • The key issue for SMEs in commercial contracts, including managing risk and liability.
  • Exploring employment contracts, salary-related requests and the retention of staff in the context of cost of living pressures.
  • Navigating issues such as general contractual disputes, customer payments and bad debts, and debt recovery, including the importance of reviewing T&Cs.
