As the global effort to achieve net-zero carbon emissions increases at pace, businesses across Northern Ireland will play a vital role in realising this goal. With this in mind, NI Chamber and AIB invite business leaders to learn how other companies have implemented strategies to reduce their carbon emissions before the climate deadline.
On Thursday 14 October, we will host Ben Austen, Senior Staff Program Manager at Seagate Technology, an electronics manufacturer and industry-leading innovator in data storage and Donald Walker, Business Development Manager at Veolia, a water, waste and energy management solutions company that contributes to the sustainable development of communities and industries.
Ben and Donald will each discuss where they are in their sustainability journey and share how they are approaching the reduction of carbon emissions over the next decade. They will cover:
• How a growing business can achieve its net-zero goals
• The challenges which exist for businesses seeking to reduce carbon emissions and how to overcome them
• The implementation of data led approaches to identify goals and reach carbon emission targets
• The steps involved in developing a robust sustainability strategy
