NI Chamber and Bank of Ireland invite all those working in finance roles to start their day with a Business Breakfast on Friday 23 September.

This event will focus on the current priorities of the finance function within NI businesses. The discussion will cover how finance departments are managing the current volatile business environment, and how the focus of Finance Directors has shifted, seeing them become influencers of strategy and managers of risk who prioritise driving growth and creating value.

Key themes that will be discussed include:

  • Challenges facing Finance Directors such as labour shortages, supply chain issues and inflation.
  • Adapting to the future including automation, digital transformation and sustainability.
  • Mitigating risks, building strategic resilience and looking for opportunities in volatility.

This event will commence with Alan Bridle, UK Economist at Bank of Ireland, who will discuss the macro landscape Finance Directors operate in. There will then be an interactive discussion panel featuring Ciara McGonnell-Cushnahan, Finance Director at Bloc Group and Samantha Thompson, Head of Finance at Jans Group.

Who is this event for?

This event is for all those working in finance roles, with a particular focus on Finance Directors and those responsible for the finance function. There will be an opportunity to learn from company speakers, ask questions and connect with others working in finance roles across a range of industries.
