Henry Brothers are delighted to announce that they has been successfully shortlisted in 3 categories for this year’s Business In The Community Responsible Business Awards, including:

  • Wellbeing at Work Award
  • Environmental Leadership Award
  • NI Responsible Company of the Year Award

The NI Responsible Company of the Year Award category is only open to those companies who have achieved CORE: The Standard for Responsible Business, which they successfully renewed for the 3rd time earlier this year. In achieving Gold, the highest possible level, they demonstrated how they are ‘best in class’ when it comes to corporate responsibility and sustainability.

Henry Group CR Director Ian Henry said:

“Responsible business has never been more important than it has been in the past 18 month. Employee wellbeing has and continues to be a priority during such unprecedented times. We have all worked in a way in which we have never experienced before and it has been hugely important to support our workforce through that and going forward. We have always been keen to ensure that we are doing all we can to limit our impact on the environment and with it globally recognised that we are now in a climate emergency, we see our role as a business vital as an advocate and leader in achieving the UK target of Net Zero Carbon by 2050. As a family run SME, we are immensely proud to have been shortlisted for the NI Responsible Company of the Year Award and recognised for our coherent and strategic approach to responsible business, demonstrating positive impacts across our people, the planet and the places in which we operate and encouraging other businesses to follow our example.

Such an achievement would not have been possible without the engagement and support of our entire workforce and many stakeholders, reinforcing we are ‘altogether stronger’ through our many partnerships. So, a huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to this fantastic achievement.”
