Who we are?
Here at “Selections” we’ve been passionate about wool and all things crafty for nigh on 40 years. My mum & dad (Gwen & Norman) opened the doors at 33, North Street, in 1985.
In 2017 No.33 was destroyed by a devastating fire. Heartbroken and still in shock, my mum & dad found new premises at No.13 and 2 weeks later were back in business.
When they retired to Kefalonia they gave me the shop to follow my own dream and passion for all things woolly and crafty.
The only Woolshop in Carrickfergus Town Centre
We are so fortunate to be a second home to many local Crocheters and Knitters. A cup of coffee, a knit & natter, there’s always someone popping in.
Our teaching classes on a Wednesday afternoon and a Friday evening are where we pass on the joy of learning to knit or crochet.
Stepping through our door, you enter an extravaganza of colour, 4 plys, double knittings, aran, chunky, super chunky, fancy yarns, sock yarns, patterns, needles & hooks, ribbons & buttons, all you’ll ever need for your next project.
