World Chambers Congress
We are bidding to host the 2023 World Chambers Congress in Northern Ireland.
World Chambers Congress is a biennial global forum which provides an unrivalled opportunity to share best-practices, exchange real-word ideas and inspire new thinking around the most pressing issues affecting the business world today.
In June 2019, a delegation of Belfast business leaders, led by NI Chamber travelled to Brazil where they showcased Northern Ireland as a potential host for the global congress event. This delegation included Invest Northern Ireland, Belfast City Council, Visit Belfast and ICC Belfast. The World Chambers Congress is the largest international gathering for chambers of commerce and their business members. In addition to launching our #Belfast2023 bid, representing members in Rio enabled NI Chamber to:
- Get insight into today’s most significant global issues
- Access solutions to help you do business better
- Stimulate new ideas through inspiring keynotes
- Connect with other chambers and business leaders
- Bridge expertise gaps with educational workshops
- Promote trade and investment opportunities
You can read more about the trip here.
Supported by strategic partners, NI Chamber is joining with British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) and Chambers Ireland to present the sole UK and Ireland bid to host the event in 2023 – which, if successful, could bring an estimated economic value of £1.92m to Northern Ireland.
