HR in Focus: NI Chamber to host business breakfast for people leaders

5th Feb 2026

NI Chamber and Bank of Ireland will host a business breakfast for HR professionals on Friday 20 February in Belfast.

Designed specifically for people leaders across Northern Ireland, the breakfast will bring together HR professionals and senior leaders from a wide range of sectors to explore what effective people practices look like in a rapidly changing employment landscape.

Expert speakers will address key themes currently at the forefront of HR strategy including attracting, engaging and retaining talent; managing multigenerational workforces; rewards and transparency; values‑led cultures; inclusive employment pathways; and policy approaches that support people and performance. The session will also examine how organisations can build workplaces that are both commercially resilient and people‑centered.

Louise Maguire will guide a discussion with panellists including Keith Smith, Chief People Officer at Mallaghan Engineering, Anne Brace, Head of HR at Avondale Foods and Sarah Milliken, Head of Talent and Culture at Aflac Northern Ireland.

February’s breakfast marks the launch of the 2026 Business Breakfast Series, delivered by NI Chamber in partnership with Bank of Ireland with the support of SME Partner, Power NI. Now in its fifth year, the series provides learning and networking opportunities for ambitious professionals working in core business areas which over the coming months are also set to include marketing, innovation and finance.

This event will be hosted in Charles Hurst, Jaguar Land Rover, Belfast on Friday 20 February between 9.00 – 11.00am. It is free for NI Chamber members to attend. To secure a place, register on NI Chamber’s website.#
