Who is Storybox?

Storybox is an online business based at the iconic Portview Trade Centre in the heart of East Belfast. We are devoted to celebrating others, lifting each other up and preserving the magic of community. Officially registered as a Community Interest Company (CIC) in May 2021, it’s our job to support and recognise the brilliance of local businesses and social enterprises. We do so, by bringing together some of the most beautiful, useful, passionately-made local products, and combining them to create boxes of pure joy.
We fill our boxes with products that are made with quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction in mind, and we have been so lucky to partner with over 25 businesses, and this number is growing. Storybox is supporting the business owners, staff, families and every person involved in the production of their products, and when a customer invests in a Storybox, they are actively championing a wide array of people from their local community, and the impact is huge. We are now also branching out to supply ‘products with purpose’ on an individual basis and have loads of exciting new addition to add to the range in the coming months.
Part of our mission is to use the surpluses that our business makes to give back, and so our dedicated social cause (outside of our support for social enterprise and local businesses) will be to make a financial donation to support a mental health initiative or service every year. This year we donated £500 to a local women’s centre which will pay for mental health support for local women in need. Just recently, we donated a further £100 to PIPS Suicide Prevention Charity through a ‘giveaway with purpose.’ We plan to increase this year on year as the business grows and further incorporate mental health awareness into our story.
