We are excited to share that our Green Roofs & Eco Heroes project for Translink has been shortlisted for an Irish Institute of Designers Award. This project is particularly special as it reflects our long-standing partnership with Translink and our role in their sustainability journey.
The Green Roofs initiative, inspired by eco-friendly bus shelter designs from the Netherlands, introduces plantbed-style roofs that create habitats for wildlife. Our team’s role extended from concept inception to the design of the Eco Heroesbooklet, an educational resource for children aged 8-11, aimed at promoting environmental awareness through fun and interactive activities. The booklet is printed on recycled paper and distributed across schools in Northern Ireland.
In addition to the booklet, we developed bespoke character illustrations that have become central to Translink’s public-facing materials and branding, with plans to use them across signage and promotional campaigns in 2024 and beyond. We’re proud to have contributed to such a meaningful project that promotes sustainability and engages the community.
