The Utility Regulator has welcomed two new Board Members.
Appointed by the Department of Finance, Paul McGowan and Anthony Pygram commenced seven-year terms on the organisation’s Board on 25 August 2025.
Welcoming the appointments, Rosamund Blomfield-Smith, Chair of the Utility Regulator, says, “I am delighted to welcome Paul McGowan and Anthony Pygram to the Utility Regulator’s Board.
“With their extensive combined expertise in utilities regulation, Paul and Anthony will bring valuable insight to our Board and will strengthen our capacity to deliver on the strategic priorities set out in our Corporate Strategy for 2024–2029.
“I very much look forward to working with both, as we continue to protect the interests of Northern Ireland’s consumers of electricity, gas and water, during this time of profound change within the energy and water sectors.”
