The Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Lucy Mitchell as the new Commercial and Membership Director.
Lucy has recently moved from Scotland where her passion for the rural industry and developing organisations led to her serving as President of the Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs in 2022/23 as well as holding various other Trustee roles with organisations such as Women in Agriculture Scotland.
Lucy’s commitment to learning and travel was recently demonstrated through by being awarded a Churchill Fellowship Travel Scholarship, where she explored how agricultural businesses and membership organisations engage with the public and local communities worldwide.
With her strong background in agriculture and a deep understanding of membership organisations, Lucy is excited to contribute to the UFU’s mission. Additionally, with Lucys experience of leading youth organisations she is eager to build on membership services as well as strengthen the UFU’s relationships with the next generation of industry leaders.
