Thompson’s Tea moves to a 4 day week for production & warehouse

Exciting times for Thompson’s Tea as the business is delighted to introduce a 4 day working week for their production and warehouse team.
Not only will it allow staff an extra day off per week and improve work life balance, but it will enable them to increase potential output by up to 15-20% and increase their dedicated maintenance time.
This move is a significant step towards allowing the business to fulfill future demand, having experienced double digit growth in the last 2 years.
Despite a category that is in slight decline, Thompson’s have had significant distribution increases across their product portfolio, with much of this growth outside of Northern Ireland – mainly GB and ROI. With availability being one of the key measures that retailers are looking to improve, Thompson’s will be best placed to meet these high expectations well into the future, with this move in operations.
