The Utility Regulator has published its latest newsletter which provides an update on its work during March.

Alongside the organisation’s daily activities, this month has seen it engage with stakeholders by participating in panel discussions and undertaking site visits and Ministerial meetings.

The Utility Regulator’s Head of Networks, Jillian Ferris, participated in a panel discussion at the Workshop on Grid Access for Wind farms across Europe in Athens.

The organisation also hosted its own Non-domestic Energy Market forum and presented evidence to the Committee for the Economy.

To celebrate International Women’s Day 2025, the Utility Regulator showcased some of its talented employees in video and blog posts across its social media channels.

The organisation also published a number of key documents, including its Forward Work Programme 2025/2026, which is its annual business plan that sets out the non-routine projects it plans to do during the year.

The latest Quarterly Retail Energy Market Monitoring (QREMM) Report for Q4 2024, which provides a range of information about Northern Ireland’s retail electricity and gas markets, was also published.

Within this month’s newsletter, the Utility Regulator is spotlighting some of the staff who produced its latest Quarterly Retail Energy Market Monitoring Report – Markets Monitoring Analysis Manager, Andrew Mawhinney and Regulatory Associate Analyst, Malachy Moreland.

The Utility Regulator would be delighted to hear any feedback you have on its newsletter and any issues you would like to see covered in future editions, via info@uregni.gov.uk.
