The Utility Regulator has published its latest newsletter, which provides an update on its work during July.
It has been a busy and productive month for the organisation, as it continues to deliver on its core projects, whilst engaging with valued stakeholders.
In early July, the Utility Regulator’s Chief Executive, John French, was pleased to attend the Clean Power 2030 Summits in London.
This month has also seen the Utility Regulator join the British Irish Chamber of Commerce.
Throughout July, the organisation published several important documents. These include:
- An Improving the Non-domestic Consumer Experience’ Position Paper and proposed licence modifications (3 July).
- Its decision on SONI’s 2023/2024 Performance and Overall Financial Incentive (3 July).
- The Approach Consultation Paper for the Utility Regulator’s next price control for the gas supply companies. This is referred to as SPC27. (4 July).
- A decision paper on the grant of an electricity generation licence to Ballyutoag Wind Farm Ltd (8 July).
- Key findings from the Utility Regulator’s third Non-domestic Consumer Insight Tracker Survey (21 July).
In this edition, the Utility Regulator is profiling its Head of Price Controls (Gas and Water), Ciaran MacCann, and Regulatory Analyst, Conor McConnell, both of whom were instrumental in the development of the approach consultation paper for SPC27.
