The Utility Regulator has published its latest newsletter which provides an update on its work during December and an overview of its key highlights during 2024.
As the year draws to a close, this edition looks at what the organisation has achieved in the past 12 months, including the launch of its Corporate Strategy for 2024-2029, ‘Protecting Consumers on the way to Net Zero’.
Earlier in 2024, the Utility Regulator bid a fond farewell to two longstanding Board Members, Bill Emery and Teresa Perchard, and welcomed its new Board Chair, Rosamund Blomfield-Smith and Board Member, Isolde Goggin.
Throughout the year, the organisation engaged with stakeholders by meeting Government Ministers, contributing to industry roundtables, and exchanging knowledge at energy, water and consumer events.
The Utility Regulator also hosted its own stakeholder events and participated in a number of site visits.
The newsletter also looks back at the range of activities that the organisation’s staff took part in throughout 2024 to support its corporate charity, Cancer Fund for Children.
In this edition, you can find out more about the staff who ensure that the Utility Regulator communicates effectively and transparently with its stakeholders – Head of Private Office, Sarah Teer and Communications Analyst, Adele Boyle.
You will also find updates on the Utility Regulator’s Q3 2024 Quarterly Retail Energy Market Monitoring report, Fuel Mix Disclosure and C02 Emissions 2023 report, and its draft determination for Power NI’s next supply price control.
