Desmond Motors is celebrating the first anniversary of its Belfast showroom by hosting a superhero-themed family fun day in support of children’s charity Little Heroes.

Taking place on Saturday 4 July from 9am to 2.30pm at the dealership on Boucher Road, the event will feature appearances from Captain America and Spiderman, bouncy castles, family entertainment and the opportunity for visitors to test drive vehicles.

Little Heroes volunteers will be on site throughout the day collecting donations, while families supported by the charity have been invited to attend and enjoy the celebrations.

Desmond Motors Boucher Road provides a wide range of vehicle servicing and repair solutions, including health checks and MOT services for all makes and models, with same-day bookings available but their premises will be transformed for the fun day.

Paul McGlone, General Manager at Desmond Motors Boucher Road, said:

“We pride ourselves on providing expert vehicle and van services and on becoming a trusted part of the local community over the past year. Marking our first anniversary by supporting Little Heroes gives us an opportunity to give something back and raise funds for the incredible work the charity does every day. We hope the event provides local families with a fun day out while helping us raise much-needed funds for children and young people who rely on the support of Little Heroes.”

Lauren Doherty, Head of Fundraising and Operations at Little Heroes, said:

“Little Heroes depends entirely on the generosity of individuals, communities and corporate partners. Their support allows us to fund projects and equipment that make a real difference to children and young people receiving treatment.

“From helping reduce anxiety through virtual reality headsets for patients with needle phobia, to providing sensory room equipment and play therapy services, every donation helps improve the experience of children and families in hospital. We are grateful to Desmond Motors for choosing to support Little Heroes and helping us continue this important work.”
