Sterling Insurance ambassador Sam Madden visits County Armagh squads ahead of the 2026 tournament

Sterling Insurance is bringing plenty of football tricks to the Budget Energy SuperCupNI this summer as ambassador Sam Madden joined the County Armagh squads for a special freestyle football session ahead of the 2026 tournament.

One of the UK and Ireland’s leading football content creators, Madden recently spent time with County Armagh players, taking part in a high-energy evening of freestyle demonstrations, technical drills and football challenges as excitement continues to build towards this summer’s competition.

The event forms part of Sterling Insurance’s ongoing involvement with the Budget Energy SuperCupNI, with this summer marking the company’s third consecutive year supporting one of the world’s leading international youth football tournaments.

With more than 30 years’ experience serving customers across Northern Ireland, Sterling Insurance has established a strong presence within grassroots sport and local community initiatives.

Northern Ireland will once again welcome some of the biggest names in world football this summer as elite academies including Manchester United, Liverpool, Rangers, Celtic, Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton, Sunderland, Leeds United and West Ham United prepare to compete at the 2026 Budget Energy SuperCupNI.

Now entering its 43rd year, the tournament continues to attract leading clubs and emerging talent from across the globe, with more than 60 Boys’ and Girls’ teams and over 1,200 players set to compete in more than 150 fixtures across Causeway Coast and Glens, Antrim and Newtownabbey, and Mid and East Antrim from Sunday 26th to Friday 31st July.

The tournament will conclude with two showcase finals days, with the Girls’ Section Cup Finals taking place at Dixon Park, Ballyclare on Thursday 30th July before the Boys’ Section Cup Finals are staged at The Coleraine Showgrounds on Friday 31st July.
