Solarfix, one of Northern Ireland’s most successful and rapidly expanding solar installation companies, has completed another installation at the internationally celebrated Royal Portrush Golf Club. Michael O’Donnell, managing director or Solarfix states, “To be selected once again by one of the most prestigious and historically significant golf clubs in the world speaks volumes about the trust Royal Portrush place in our expertise.”
This ambitious project includes four solar systems, each tailor-designed to meet the requirements of Royal Portrush, strategically installed at the main clubhouse, the ladies’ clubhouse, the starter hut, and the greenkeepers’ shed. Together, these systems form one of the most comprehensive solar deployments undertaken at a golf venue in Northern Ireland.
In total, the four separate installations feature almost 230 state-of-the-art solar panels, powered by Solis and SolarEdge inverter technologies, and deliver over 85,000 kWh of renewable electricity per year.
Danny Cambpell, General Manager of Royal Portrush, states “At Royal Portrush Golf Club, we take great pride in maintaining the highest standards across every aspect of our facilities. Working with Solarfix has been an outstanding experience from start to finish. Over the past two years, their team has installed four solar systems across our Clubhouse, Ladies Clubhouse, Greenkeepers Shed, and Starter Hut, each tailored perfectly to our needs. Each project was delivered with exceptional professionalism, technical expertise, and meticulous attention to detail, which is why we’ve continued to return to Solarfix every time.”
Michael O’Donnell, Managing Director of Solarfix, talks of the prestige of his company continuing their relationship with Royal Portrush, emphasising what it means for Solarfix to be chosen repeatedly by such a respected organisation: “For Royal Portrush to select Solarfix to design and install not just one, but four independent systems speaks volumes about the confidence they have in our expertise. It also demonstrates the responsibility Royal Portrush takes towards its environmental obligations. This system not only helps Royal Portrush reduce costs but also generate carbon savings of around 15 tonnes per year.”
Danny Campbell, praised the seamless integration and long-term benefits of the work:
“The entire process was seamless, and the results speak for themselves, delivering significant environmental and operational benefits while aligning perfectly with our long-term sustainability goals. We are absolutely delighted with the outcome and would not hesitate to recommend Solarfix to any organisation seeking excellence in solar energy”
