The Fermanagh luxury Resort announces a magical one-day Christmas in July as its 2026 festive packages go on sale

Santa Claus is taking a well-earned break from the North Pole this summer and has chosen Lough Erne Resort for a very special holiday stopover.

For one day only, on Wednesday 29th July, Santa will swap snowy Lapland for the lakes and landscapes of County Fermanagh, meeting children during an exclusive Christmas in July experience at the Resort.

The Library at Lough Erne Resort will be transformed into a festive hideaway for the occasion, complete with Christmas decorations and seasonal touches. Young guests will have the opportunity to meet Santa and share some early Christmas wishes before he returns north to begin preparations for the busiest night of the year.

Families booking the experience will also enjoy a luxurious overnight stay in a guest room, lodge or suite, starting at £499 for two adults and one child. After meeting Santa, guests will enjoy a 3-course dinner in Loughside Grill. The next morning, they will awaken to a lakeside breakfast and relax with a refreshing dip in the infinity pool or make the most of the summer sunshine with a walk through the Resort’s lush grounds.

Santa’s one-day visit will coincide with the launch of Lough Erne Resort’s Christmas 2026 packages, giving families the opportunity to plan a festive escape and secure their preferred dates well ahead of the Christmas rush.

Lough Erne Resort General Manager Gareth Byrne said:

“Even Santa needs a summer holiday, and we are delighted that he has chosen to spend part of his break with us at Lough Erne Resort. Our Christmas in July experience will give children the wonderful surprise of meeting Santa when they least expect it, in the middle of summer and in the magical surroundings of ‘A World Apart’.”

“Many guests begin planning and booking their Christmas breaks during the summer months to secure the best availability and value, so Santa’s visit also marks the official launch of our Christmas packages. Families can start looking forward to twinkling trees, roaring fires, festive dining and memorable time together at Lough Erne Resort.”

Surrounded by 600 acres of countryside in the heart of the Fermanagh Lakelands, the Resort provides an enchanting setting for Christmas celebrations, from family stays and seasonal dining to peaceful winter escapes.

Among the experiences now available to book is the Santa Sleepover, which combines a luxury family stay with a special visit from Santa.

Families will enjoy an overnight stay in a guest room, lodge or suite, followed by a festive family dinner at the Loughside Bar & Grill. Young guests will then meet the Big Man himself in The Library to share their Christmas wishes before Santa returns to the North Pole to prepare for the festive season.

The following morning, adults and children can enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast before taking a walk along the Resort’s Collop Walk.

The 2-Night Christmas Escape is a residential festive experience designed for families and couples wishing to celebrate Christmas in luxurious surroundings.

Guests will receive a warm festive welcome with seasonal music, mince pies, mulled wine for adults and hot chocolate for younger visitors. The package includes a two-night stay in a guest room, lodge or suite, a hearty lakeside breakfast each morning and an unforgettable Christmas Day lunch in the acclaimed Catalina Restaurant.
