RenewableNI, the voice of Northern Ireland’s renewable electricity industry, is launching a new report on the economic and environmental benefits of offshore wind.
The Clean Revolution – Building Northern Ireland’s Offshore Wind Industry sets out how the industry and government can work together to achieve 1.5 GW of electricity by 2032.
This would be enough to power 1.6 million homes and save the equivalent CO² of removing 1.2 million cars off the Northern Ireland roads.
To mark the launch of the report, RenewableNI is hosting a free seminar on Tuesday 6 September. Speakers include:
- the report authors BVG Associates;
- Chair of RenewableNI Offshore Wind working group Niamh Kenny, Project Director, North Channel Wind;
- John Tougher, Senior Associate, A&L Goodbody.
Guests include members of the wider renewable energy industry and civil servants.
