Last week marked a significant milestone for Manfreight with the grand opening of our cutting-edge warehousing facility, Project ARK, strategically located at Belfast Harbour.

The two-day celebration brought together an esteemed group of family, friends, partners, and valued customers to commemorate this key achievement. We were particularly honoured to have Irene Slowey as our Guest of Honour, who officially opened the facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Project ARK represents a major step towards a sustainable future. Equipped with a zero-emissions refrigeration system and 1,890 rooftop solar panels, the facility reduces reliance on traditional energy sources. It also features Kingspan Quadcore Coldstore LEC Panels, the first in the UK and Ireland, designed to lower embodied carbon and support our sustainability goals.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who travelled from across Ireland and the UK to celebrate this momentous occasion with us.

We would also like to acknowledge the contributions of our partners, whose presentations and demonstrations highlighted the importance of collaboration and innovation in the logistics industry. Together, we are stronger.

A special thanks to:

  • Anna Breen (Stena Line)
  • Stuart Gwynne (Powertech Refrigeration Ltd)
  • Matt Boutros (Derry Bros Shipping & Customs)
  • Simon Murray (Cameramatics)
  • Chris Arthur (Dennison Commercials)
