Leading food company Pilgrim’s Europe has launched a new Legacy Fund to support charities and community organisations local to its sites across the island of Ireland.
Created to help make a positive difference and provide meaningful support to local communities, the fund is open to a wide range of applicants, ranging from community and voluntary organisations to educational, cultural, environmental and youth initiatives.
The Legacy Fund builds on Pilgrim’s Europe’s wider commitment to supporting communities surrounding its sites. Throughout the year, colleagues across the business volunteer their time, raise funds, and support local causes, alongside the company’s established partnerships with FareShare, GroceryAid and Ronald McDonald House UK.
Kirsty Wilkins, Chief People Officer at Pilgrim’s Europe, said: “In the communities where our colleagues live across the country, we want our Legacy Fund to support organisations that understand the needs of their area and are working to make a genuine difference.
“There are so many charities, community groups and other organisations doing great work, and we’d love to hear from them. We’d encourage anyone with a project that could make a lasting difference locally to get in touch.
“We are looking forward to hearing more about the ideas, people and organisations making a positive contribution to our communities.”
