Leading logistics company Manfreight has expanded its warehousing capacity in Northern Ireland with the £9m acquisition of a 100,000sq ft facility in Belfast, supported by Danske Bank UK.

Manfreight has grown into one of the UK & Ireland’s most progressive logistics businesses, a multi-site logistics partner whose operations span the UK, Ireland, and mainland Europe. From its headquarters in Craigavon, the company provides fully integrated warehousing, distribution, and supply chain solutions designed around efficiency, transparency and sustainability.

The newly acquired warehouse at 122–126 Duncrue Street will operate as an ambient storage facility for dry freight, complementing Manfreight’s state-of-the-art chilled site at Belfast Harbour and its temperature-controlled operation in Skelmersdale, England. Offering over 12,000 standard pallet spaces / 15,000 Euro pallet spaces and the facility has the capacity to process more than 1,050 pallets per day.

The purchase, part-financed by Danske Bank, forms part of Manfreight’s strategy to expand its BRCGS-accredited warehousing network across the UK and Ireland, reinforcing its commitment to the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance.

This investment also responds to growing demand for flexible storage and distribution solutions, supported by end-to-end digital tracking that provides customers with complete visibility from collection through to delivery.

Chris Slowey, Managing Director of Manfreight, said:

“The key to Manfreight’s success is our ability to combine speed to market with scalability and highly bespoke levels of service across every sector we operate in.

“This warehouse acquisition has been driven by demand from customers who want one continuous line of data in their supply chain. We own and operate our own fleet and acquiring this facility means we can continue to maintain full control over our distribution, transportation and storage of our customers’ goods. We are grateful to Danske Bank for their support on this latest step in our journey.”

Mark Brown from Danske Bank said:

“Manfreight is an ambitious local business which is continually investing in its end-to-end logistics offering to its customers. Danske Bank is pleased to be able to support Manfreight with its growth strategy and we look forward to seeing the business continue to thrive and expand its services.”
