Portadown-based business leader Timothy Jameson has been crowned Innovation Entrepreneur of the Year for Northern Ireland at the prestigious Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2025, held in London and supported by Allica Bank.

Timothy is the Managing Director and co-founder of Express Merchants, a fast-growing procurement platform revolutionising how facilities management companies across the UK and Ireland manage their supply chains. The company’s innovative digital platform, Breeze, allows clients to streamline purchasing, connect with thousands of local suppliers, and embed sustainability into their operations — all from one central hub.

The judges praised Timothy’s vision, leadership, and the game-changing impact of Express Merchants on a traditionally outdated procurement sector. The award also recognises the company’s commitment to supporting regional suppliers, fostering local economic growth, and building a scalable solution with international potential.

“To win this award, representing Northern Ireland on a national stage, is an incredible honour,” said Timothy.
“We’re proud of our roots here in Portadown, and we’ve built this company on values of Customer First, One Team, Respect & Integrity, Relentless Excellence. This is a win for the whole team and for every client and supplier who’s backed us.”

Express Merchants, founded in Northern Ireland and already working with some of the largest FM providers in the UK and Ireland, is now preparing for its next phase of growth — including further investment in AI-driven procurement tools and expansion into new European markets.

The Great British Entrepreneur Awards, often referred to as the “Grammys of entrepreneurship,” celebrate the achievements of the UK’s most inspiring and innovative business leaders. The 2025 event received over 5,000 applications, with just a handful of winners selected from each region.
