Little Heroes is happy to announce it has hired a new appointment: Tom Boyd as Head of Philanthropy & Corporate Relationships.
About Little Heroes
Little Heroes was established by the medical staff at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children in 1997 with the single aim of helping the children in their care.
Little Heroes is an independent Charity which operates through a board of trustees and fundraises exclusively for “The Children’s Hospital” – Northern Ireland’s only regional paediatric specialist hospital.
We work tirelessly to offer sick children and their families the resources they need during challenging times – whether it is access to essential medical equipment, emotional support, or facilities to support families while their child is in hospital.
We believe in the power of compassion, community, and resilience, and our mission is to ensure that every sick child who attends the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children is given the best possible opportunity to overcome obstacles and thrive.
We raise money to achieve our charitable objectives which are:
- The provision of equipment and maintenance of the estate
- The funding of research and education on childhood illness
- Facilitating private health care services where necessary
- Supporting the wellbeing of the paediatric team at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children
- Caring for the parents and families of sick children and those who love and care for them
