After 18 years of dedicated service as Chief Executive Officer, Robert Fitzpatrick will be stepping down from his current position to take up a new role as Chair of the Belfast Giants while continuing to support the organisation in an advisory capacity. This change will take effect from 31 March 2025.

We are pleased to announce that Paul McMahon will take on the role of Chief Executive Officer, effective 31 March 2025. Paul brings a wealth of leadership experience and expertise, having served in his current role as Chief Operating Officer and previously as a Non-Executive Director of The Odyssey Trust from 2010 to 2018. We are confident that his leadership will build on Robert’s legacy and drive the continued success of Odyssey.

The Board of Directors and the entire Odyssey Trust team extend its sincere gratitude to Robert for his exceptional leadership, vision, and dedication. Under his stewardship, Odyssey has experienced remarkable growth and success, gaining international recognition for Belfast and Northern Ireland. Throughout his tenure, Robert has driven substantial revenue growth and market expansion, overseen the successful launch and development of key services and initiatives, strengthened company culture and core values, advanced sustainability and corporate social responsibility efforts, and fostered innovation and technological advancements.
