Kainos is supporting the launch of an Artificial Intelligence Research Centre (AIRC) at Ulster University’s new Belfast campus. As a leading digital technology company, Kainos is committed to aiding research and skills development in Northern Ireland.

The partnership between Kainos and Ulster University represents the teaming up of industry and academia to inspire the next generation by letting them learn from industry experts and strengthen Northern Ireland’s position at the forefront of technology.

The AIRC is one of several specialist research spaces in Ulster University’s new city centre campus and will help to further knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the difference it can make both locally and further afield. The purpose of the centre is to underpin teaching at the University and to drive innovation and help to find solutions to problems people face across a broad range of application domains.

The work will help to deliver benefits for the economy and society. It’s exciting to extend our partnership with Kainos, which spans research, student placements, graduate opportunities, executive leadership programmes, guest lectures and input into curriculum development. It’s a partnership that shows just how powerful collaboration between the University and industry can be.”
