Position: Business Development Executive

Reporting to: Sales Director

Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of existing commercial customers.
  • Identify potential new business opportunities through lead generation, networking and prospecting.
  • Understand the competitor market to support the business strategy for product pricing so we remain competitive in our sector.
  • Regular telephone communication with potential or existing customers, processing orders and recording and updating records and data.
  • Utilise relevant online platforms, industry associations, and social networks to identify new leads.
  • Assisting the Marketing Dept in any promotional or general marketing activity.
  • Liaising with Sales Director to ensure maintenance of pricing policy
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities and forecast to management team.
  • Liaising with other departments e.g. Commercial /credit control / dispatch teams to ensure the commercial customer/order and business needs are met.
  • General customer care
  • General Administration e.g. Filing, post etc

Experience, Skills and Attributes:

  • Sales & business development experience
  • A minimum of two years’ Experience in a similar role
  • Strong commercial focus with the ability to manage the process from lead generation to sale closing
  • Highly motivated and results driven
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Knowledge in CRM software e.g. Microsoft Dynamics (desirable)

Location: Head Office, Greysteel

This is primarily an office-based role but on occasion there may be a requirement to visit customers on their premises.

Hours: 40 hours per week (30-minute lunch break unpaid)

Monday to Friday

Salary: Salary is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.
