The fourth edition of International Trade Week (ITW) will take place from Monday 11 to Friday 15 November 2024.
Led by the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and sponsored by Santander UK, in partnership with industry, ITW 2024 will feature 5 action-packed days of events, workshops and webinars – all free for businesses to attend.
Whether you’re looking to secure your first export contract or expand your existing international sales, ITW will have something for you. The week’s activities are for companies of all sizes and sectors – you just need an interest in growing your business.

Northern Ireland In-Person Export Networking

Join the Department for Business and Trade and the Federation of Small Businesses for this free in-person event. You will hear from DBT Northern Ireland’s Head of Creative Services, Richard Elliott, and network with other business that have global ambitions to gain insights into exporting successes. This will be a great opportunity to build and learn from exporting successes through business-to-business networking and peer-to-peer learning.
In Conversation with Philip McKee – DBT Export Champion

Join the Department for Business and Trade for a 30-minute online session as part of the UK Export Academy’s insightful discussion series with DBT Export Champions, aimed at supporting and inspiring businesses on their export journey. Hear how Philip McKee from Biopanda Reagents in Northern Ireland sells their products internationally. Philip oversees the company’s sales and marketing functions for their in-vitro test kits, which are developed for clinical laboratories, veterinary practices, and food safety laboratories. Biopanda works closely with universities and research institutes to innovate and develop new technologies. Their products are sold across the UK, Europe, and globally, with distributors in South East Asia, Africa, and Central and South America.
Maximising Your Export Potential Through Cross-Border Trade

Delivered bythe Department for Business and Trade and InterTradeIreland, this free inperson event will equip businesses with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the cross-border market. You will have the opportunity to meet one-to-one with specialist business mentors for expert guidance, and hear from local businesses sharing hands-on experiences of maximising cross-border opportunities and achieving export success. InterTradeIreland and the Department for Business and Trade team members will be on-hand to discuss export opportunities and introduce the UK Export Academy.
