Thirteen members of Lisburn Chamber of Commerce visited South Eastern Regional College (SERC) Lisburn Campus recently to view the professional-standard learning facilities for vocational courses, and to learn about the support available at the college for local businesses.

The guests, including Lisburn Chamber President Ruth Young,  were greeted by Emma Finney, SERC Head of Business Engagement and Roger Duncan, SERC Lisburn Campus Manager. Kelly Donnelly and Pamela Kelly,  Business Development Managers at the college, gave a presentation outlining the range of training and innovation offered at SERC, which is often fully-funded and tailored to specific company needs. They also spoke about the upskilling and reskilling courses offered to individuals looking to progress in their career or perhaps to change direction.

The visitors were given a tour of kitchens, salons and workshops around the campus, when they could chat to tutors and see the facilities in use, demonstrating SERC’s commitment to hands-on, project-based learning.
